It feels kinda weird taking a car back to stock, but damn is it nice having dropped nearly 1,000 RPMs in 6th at 65 MPH. Rear is quiet as a mouse too. I’m now confident it’ll make it to Washington :)
Two hours to remove the old, three to install the new. I’m pleased.
Not bad methinks. Swapping my 4.10 LSD for an OEM 3.42 LSD. #backtofactoryfresh

Hey that’s not bad at all! My front suspension refresh took a couple weeks

Big time. You have issues with the whole 3 vs 4 channel thing?

Its replacement is coming out of a 96 non-TCS so I should be good

Cool. How’s the pinion seal on the replacement one? They are notorious for having gear oil seep past, and now’s probably the time to do it.

I took off work. Put on new struts (which required tearing down the old struts because I didn’t want new springs), new ball joints, new sway bar bushing, new inner and outer tie rod ends, and new control arm bushings.
Going from the old 160k suspension to everything being new is a night and day difference. It’s quieter, smoother, and much better handling.
Did you just swap out rear ends or did you pull it and swap gearsets?

Swapped asssemblies. I didn’t want to worry about completely fucking it up if I got pre-load wrong or whathaveyou

It’s far easier that way.

That’s a good upgrade.
